COBIT has had four above releases:

In 2000, the third copy was released.
In 2003, an on-line adaptation became available.
In December 2005, the fourth copy was initially released.
In May 2007, the accepted 4.1 afterlight was released.
COBIT 5 is appointed to be appear in 2012, it will consolidate and accommodate the COBIT 4.1, Val IT 2.0 and Risk IT frameworks, and aswell draw decidedly from the Business Model for Information Security (BMIS) and ITAF.
